Opportunity to represent ASME India @ SLS 2013

Good news to the 2nd and 3rd year students of ASME members. ASME SPDC India 2013 provides a fantastic opportunity to become a representative of ASME India as the member of Student District Operating Board (SDOB) of ASME India or the Zonal Representatives of ASME India. 

The elections will be held as a part of Student Leadership Seminar (SLS) to be held at the ASME SPDC India 2013, K L University on 11th March 2013. In this regard, students of 2nd and 3rd year are requested to submit their Application and CV on or before 28th Feb 2013.

Welcome to the world of Opportunities – ASME


KLU ASME Student Section welcomes the new members of ASME to the family of KLU ASME Student Section. 38 students from 2nd, 3rd and 4th years have received their Membership and their Membership kits were distributed on 4th February 2013 in the Freshers Meet of KLU ASME Student Section held from 14:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs in M102. Prof. Shyam Prasad K, Faculty Advisor and Mr.Premchand P, Chair, KLU ASME Student Section were present in the meet to greet the new members.
Mr.Premchand P has discussed the advantages of being a member of ASME and explained the opportunities that lay ahead of members who are active. He has quoted few examples of students who are active and have been recognized Nationwide for their activities. Prof.Shyam Prasad K has presented the vision of KLU ASME Student Section and discussed about the challenges that today’s engineering students have in front of them. He has also enlightened students to pursue their dreams by working with the respective clubs of KLU ASME Student Section.
The membership kits were then given to the students from the hands of Prof. Shyam Prasad and Mr.Premchand P. They greeted every new member and wished them luck in their endeavors.

Workshop on Robotics Fundamentals

The AMWITH ROBO of KLU ASME Student Section has conducted a 2 day Workshop on Robotics Fundamentals.

Theoretical and Practical sessions were held on making of
                                                
                                              1) Line Follower Robot
                                              2) Touch Screen Controlled Robot


Lectures were delivered by:
                                            1) P Bhanu Prakash
                                            2) V Kanaka Sunanda
                                            3) CH Kartheek
                                            4) G P S Srinivas
                                            5) G Amrutha Kamal

The workshop was attended by 18 students from different branches of Engineering.

Workshops in Robotics

AMWITH ROBO, The robotics club of  K L University is conducting two workshops, one on the fundamentals of robotics and the other is image processing in robotics. The workshop lectures will be delivered by Ms. Amrutha Kamal G, Mr. Bhanu Prakash P. Ms. Kanaka Sunanda V, Mr. Kartheek CH and Mr. G P S Srinivas of III/IV, ECE. The venue for the workshops is M102.

The workshops will be conducted in 2 batches.

1) Workshop on Robotics
        a) Batch 1- Feb 9 (17:00 hrs to 19:00 hrs), Feb 10 (09:00 hrs to 13:00)
        b) Batch 2- Feb 18, 19, 20 (17:00 hrs to 19:00 hrs)

2) Workshop on Image Processing in Robotics
        a) Batch 1- Feb 11, 12, 13 (17:00 hrs to 19:00 hrs)
        b) Batch 2- Feb 24, 25, 27 (17:00 hrs to 19:00 hrs)

Workshop on ANSYS Fluent with fundamentals of CFD


KLU ASME Energy Club announces its first workshop on ANSYS Fluent with fundamentals of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to be held on 11th 12th and 13th February 2013 from 17:00hrs to 19:30hrs at Aerospace Energy Research Centre (AERC), Mechanical Engineering Department. The workshop will be delivered by Mr. Premchand P, IV/IV ME, along with Mr. Alex James, Mr. Sriram A, Mr. Jetin, and Mr. Sandeep GV of III/IV ME. The workshop is aimed at providing hands on experience on the CFD tool ANSYS Fluent. Students who are interested in the fields of Thermal Sciences, Fluid Dynamics, Aerodynamic designing etc may utilize this opportunity.
